Police have booked three government school teachers for repeatedly beating and ill-treating an eight years old Dalit boy and allegedly putting a scorpion in his pants, in Rohru sub-division of Shimla district.
A case was registered on Sunday against Headmaster of Government Primary School, Khaddapani – Devinder and two school teachers Babu Ram and Kritika Thakur, under various sections of Bharitya Nyaya Samhita (BNS) and cruelty towards Juvenile Act, on the complaint of the father of the school boy.
A police source said , “ The father of the victim in his complaint has accused the school teachers for continuously beating the boy for more than a year leaving his ear bleeding and damaging his eardrum; and also placing a scorpion in his pants. “
Since the complainant has accused the teachers for allegedly discriminating and ill- treating the boy for his caste the police have also charged the accused under SC/ST Prevention Act.
