
People of Kangra gave a tearful adieu to Wing Commander Namansh Syal, Indian Air Force (IAF) Pilot, on Sunday in his native village Patialkhad of Kangra district.
The mortal remains of Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who lost his life in Tejas fighter plane crash during a Dubai Air Show two days back, were taken to his native village Patialkhad wrapped in Tricolour and cremated with full civil and military honours .
His wife Afshan Akhter – an officer in IAF- and his daughter. along with the parents of the martyred officer, though crestfallen stood brave and paid their last respect to the officer.
Minister of AYUSH and Youth Services Yadwinder Goma, accompanied by several MLAs, laid a wreath on the mortal remains on behalf of the state government. Deputy Commissioner Kangra and many officers from Kangra district administration also paid floral tributes to the officer.
Several officers from the IAF and District Army Welfare officer Col Gopal Guleria also paid floral tributes. Ex-servicemen in a large number also paid their final tributes.
