In a major reshuffle several Police officers were transferred by the Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday. The transfer orders were issued by Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta at Shimla on Wednesday.
Abhishek Trivedi, a 1996-batch IPS officer and Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police, Prisons and Correctional Services, Shimla.
Prem Kumar Thakur, a 2004 batch IPS officer and Inspector General of Police, Armed Police and Training, Shimla, has been appointed as Inspector General of Police, Police Academy, Training and Research, Shimla.
Dr. DK Chaudhary, a 2008 batch IPS officer and Principal, Police Training College, Daroh, Kangra, has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Cyber Crime. Anupam Sharma, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jails, Shimla, has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Crime, CID, and Shimla.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Law and Order, Shimla, Ranjana Chauhan has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Leave Reserve, State Human Rights Commission, and Shimla.
Gurdev Chand Sharma has now also been given the responsibility of DIG Law and order in the state.
SP Kullu Dr. Karthikeyan Gokulchandran has been transferred as Compulsory Waiting Officer, Police Headquarters, and Shimla. Manav Verma, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters, Shimla, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police, Compulsory Waiting Officer, Police Headquarters, and Shimla.
SP Nurpur Ashok Rattan has been transferred as SP Kangra, Commandant, Home Guards 9th Battalion Dharamshala Madan Lal has been appointed as SP Kullu, SP Vigilance Bureau Dharamshala Zone Balbir Singh as SP Hamirpur, SP Leave Reserve Police Headquarters Shimla Sushil Kumar as SP Kinnaur, Commandant Home Guards Chamba Vinod Kumar as Regular SP of Baddi, SP Leave Reserve Police Headquarters Shimla Vijay Kumar as SP Chamba, SP Vigilance Bureau Mandi Zone Kulbhushan Verma has been appointed as SP Nurpur.
SP Chamba Abhishek Yadav, , has been appointed as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters, Shimla and SP Kinnaur Abhishek Singh has been appointed as SP Law and Order , Police Headquarters and ASP Mandi Sachin Hiremath as SP V&AC Mandi , SDOP Baddi Abhishek as ASP Shimla and ASP (Leave reserve Kangra) Adiit Singh as SP V&AC Kangra .
ASP Leave Reserve Mandi Sachin Hiremath has been appointed as SP Vigilance Mandi Zone.
The state government has also transferred several HPS police officers.
