The image of BJP MLA representing Churah Assembly constituency, Hans Raj has once again come under cloud after recent allegations of a young girl from his (Churah) Constituency about her alleged harassment by the MLA, in a fresh video which went viral on the social media, recently.
As the girl has leveled serious charges against the MLA, the Himachal Pradesh State Women Commission Chairperson Vidya Negi has sought a detailed report from the Superintendent of Police (SP) Chamba, about the charges.
Himachal Pradesh Unit of All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) had taken up this case with the State Women Commission demanding action in the allegations of the girl in Shimla.
The girl, belonging to a minority community in the video has accused the MLA, “Of continuously harassing and threatening her and her family members and blamed him for getting their water connection disconnected; I had made a statement earlier in the court under duress last time as was under intense pressure and threatened by men of the MLA, but this time I am determined to fight till last,” she added.
The girl had accused the MLA a few months back of harassing her in a video and the matter was taken to a court but later the girl had changed her statement.
CPM leaders had met the Engineer –in- Chief of Jal Shakti department to restore the water connection, who had directed the department to immediately restore the water connection.
CPM leaders and AIDWA leaders have come in support of the girl and demanded action against the MLA .
Interestingly, no Congress leader has come forward in issuing any statement in this matter. .
MLA Hans Raj said, “The charges are politically baseless and unfounded and part of a political conspiracy to tarnish his image and foster communal tension in the area.”
