The number of people killed in a bus accident on Tuesday at Balughat near Barthien in Bilaspur district, has increased to 16, bodies of all the victims have been pulled out from the debris, which fell on the bus.
Two children were rescued alive from the debris and are being treated at AIIMS Bilaspur .
SP Bilaspur said, “Rescue operation is over as all bodies have been recovered and there is no information about any missing person.”
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced to give Rs 4 lakh to families of the victims.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri visited the spot on Tuesday night to take stock of the situation.
Prime Minister Narender Modi also announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs 2 lakh to families of the victims and Rs 50000 reach to those injured in the accident.
