Nine persons have lost lives in natural disasters in the state during the past twenty four hours.
Seven people died in Jangambag near Sunder Nagar after a massive landslide on Tuesday night.
The police said , “ The victims have been identified as Gurpreet Singh (56) his wife Bharti (30), three years daughter Kirat, Surender Kaur (56) , Shanti Devi (70) , Om Prakash (64) of Dandyal and Rahul (25) of Khatarwad. “
Mandi Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan rushed immediately to the spot to supervise the rescue operation.
SDM Sunder Nagar Amar Negi said, “The teams of NDRF and SDRF were rushed immediately after getting the information and teams of administration supervised the rescue operation.”
A resident said, “The loud noise was heard at night after which the house collapsed.”
In another incident a huge boulder hit a private bus near Bithal on Shimla Rampur road in which two passengers were killed and 15 others injured on Wednesday morning.
The injured are being treated in Rampur hospital.
