Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, held at Shimla on Monday, decided to fill up 38 posts of Assistant Professors in Cardiology, Neurology, and Urology and Gastroenterology departments in the medical colleges of the state and appoint 200 medical officers as job trainees.

The meeting also approved filling up of 100 posts of T/ mates and engage  1602 Bijli Upbhogta Mitras in Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL, fill up 645 posts of patwaris, 400 posts of staff nurses and engage 300 job trainees in Gram Panchayats on a fixed monthly stipend.

The Cabinet gave its nod for the restructuring of the department of Environment, Science, Technology and Climate Change to streamline its functioning, along-with the creation and filling of five new posts of different categories and appoint computer operators.

It was decided to create and fill two posts of JOA (IT) in the office of Lokayukta, Himachal Pradesh. The Cabinet permitted placing 45 teaching and 61 non-teaching staff from seven de-notified colleges into the surplus pool of the Directorate of Higher Education.

The Cabinet approved to withdraw the notification issued on September 6, 2025, concerning Higher Grade Pay, which had been intended to benefit 89 categories of the employees and approved affiliation of 100 Government Schools with the CBSE from the next academic session.

It agreed to launch the ‘Chief Minister Start-Up Scheme in the Hospitality Industry’ to promote self-employment opportunities for bonafide Himachalis in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

To strengthen healthcare facilities, the Cabinet gave its nod to establish 28 dialysis centres in ‘Adarsh Swasthya Sansthans’ in nine districts.

To ensure planned construction activities in rural areas, the Cabinet approved model by-laws for regulating construction in villages, particularly in light of the devastation caused during recent monsoon seasons.

The Cabinet decided to open a new Sub Tehsil at Saach in Pangi Tehsil of Chamba and upgrade Chadiyar sub-Tehsil of Kangra  to a Tehsil .

The Cabinet approved leasing out land for establishing a Green Hydrogen Plant and Solar/CBG Power Projects at 13 sites across the State.
