Three people travelling in a car lost their lives on Sunday night, when the driver of an Alto car lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down a hill on Janjehli – Chhatri road in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.
Three people died and two others were seriously injured after the accidents, who were returning from Shankar Dehra. Though the exact cause of the accident is being investigated but as per preliminary report the road was slippery and perhaps the vehicle skidded.
Though the accident occurred on Sunday night, locals came to know about the incident on Monday morning after which locals and a police team rushed to rescue the victims.
The police said, “The deceased have been identified as Dev Dutt, Mangal Chand and Yashpal, all belonging to Breogi village; two others Guman Singhh and Labh Singh were critically injured in the accident and have been taken to hospital for treatment.”
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the tragic death of three persons in the accident and directed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the next of kin of the deceased and medical assistant to injured persons.
He also prayed to grant eternal peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.
