Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur jointly inspected the Thunag market area on Wednesday, which faced the brunt of flash floods during the recent cloudbursts in Seraj assembly constituency.
Later, both leaders also met the affected people and assured them every possible help.
The CM said, “I will soon go to Delhi to meet Union Ministers and will strongly place the demand for the special relief package to the state for providing relief to the flood affected people and for their rehabilitation.”
He also visited the house of deceased Budhi Raj, who lost life during the flash floods and assured the family of adequate assistance.
