Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed to clear all pending liabilities of contractors associated with the Public Works Department, Jal Shakti Vibhag and other departments by April 30, to officials of the finance department .
Presiding over a meeting of the Finance Department held at Shimla on Sunday , the Chief Minister also directed officials to clear the pending bills of
IGMC Shimla, PGI Chandigarh and Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, under Himcare Scheme.
He also instructed the department to release pending instalments of beneficiaries of the Sahara Scheme at the earliest .
The CM said, “The financial position of the state is improving due to prudent finance management and timely measures taken by the state government to generate additional funds and efficient management.”
Principal Secretary (Finance) Devesh Kumar and Special Secretary (Finance) Saurabh Jassal were present in the meeting.
