As many as 11849 pass outs from the Shimla Regional Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) were awarded degrees and diplomas in various courses in the 38th convocation on Thursday.

The convocation was organised at the IGNOU campus at Maidangarhi, New Delhi, and in all regional centres of the university throughout the country. simultaneously.

Regional Director of IGNOU Centre Shimla, Dr. Joginder Kumar Yadav, said, “Fifty-nine students received degrees and diplomas physically at Shimla, while all other pass outs were awarded degrees in absentia.”

He said, “Sunishka Gupta, a student of Himachal, received the University Gold Medal in BA (Honours) degree in psychology from Union Education Minister Dharmender Pradhan at the 38th convocation held in New Delhi today.”

In the convocation function organised at Shimla, the Vice Chancellor of Horticulture University Solan Dr Rajeshwar Chandel, gave away the degrees and diplomas to the successful candidates .

Dr. Yadav also presented a report card of the regional centre on the occasion.
