The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to recommend to the Governor to convene the budget session of the state Assembly from 10 to 28 March.
The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu held at Shimla on Saturday also approved the declaration of pending results for 699 posts across six post codes, excluding the tainted posts, which included posts of Market Supervisor (Post Code-977), Fireman (Post Code-916), Drawing Master (Post Code-980), Clerks (HP Secretariat, Post Code-962), Lineman (Post Code-971), and Steno-Typist (Post Code-928).
It decided to create nine posts of Tehsildar, fill up three posts of different categories in the planning department, create three posts of Treasury Officers, and create six posts of various categories for the newly opened Police Post Baghi in Shimla district and upgrade 16 posts of Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in Dental Colleges Shimla.
The Cabinet gave its approval to set up the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College, Nerchowk, and the creation of posts of faculty and filling up the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion in Dr. YS Pramar Medical College, Nahan.
It gave its consent to allow the allopathic doctors to draw full salary during their study leave within India or outside the country.
The Cabinet approved 60-day special maternity leave for female government employees in the event of a stillbirth or the death of a child soon after birth.
The Cabinet decided to upgrade Police Chowki Sanjauli to a police station, open a fire post at Nerwa, start a primary health center at Basheel in Solan district, create a new Jal Shakti Division at Kangra, and open a Jal Shakti Division at Jagatkhana in Naina Devi Assembly constituency of Bilaspur district.
The Cabinet decided to start the auction-cum-tender process for entry collection tax for the financial year 2025-26, with expected additional revenue of Rs. 11.56 from all toll tax barriers, and implement the Fast Tag facility at all barriers in a phased manner.
