A college girl from Jawalaji of Himachal Pradesh has done wonders by winning under -19 World Boxing Championships in the USA and brought honours for the state and India .
Vanshika Goswamy, a first-year student of Jawalaji College playing in the 80 kg weight category defeated her German opponent in the finals.
Expressing her excitement, she said, “I am thrilled to represent my country and bring glory to my state.”
At just 18, Vanshika’s remarkable victory in the 80-kg weight category has garnered accolades for her incredible achievement.
She was accompanied by her coach Amanpreet from the National Boxing Academy (NBA) Rohtak.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur have congratulated Vanshika for her outstanding performance.
