Sunishka Gupta, a girl from Mandi has brought laurels for Mandi district and the state by getting selected in Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai to pursue Masters Degree in Social Work in Mental Health.
Sunishka was selected for the course after a difficult selection process by competing in Central University Entrance Test (CUET) and a grueling interview. And it is a matter of pride as she was selected among 27 other candidates out of thousands of aspirants from throughout the country. Few foreign students are also pursuing the course at TISS Mumbai.
She was also selected in Indian Institute of Psychology Research, Bengaluru but opted to study at TISS Mumbai.
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences is a seventy five years old educational institution founded by Tata Education Trust and is a premier education institute of India.
Sunishka studied till class VIII from a rural, Beas View Model School Baggi and later passed her + 2 examinations from Indus Global School Mandi. She had secured 10 percentile in her matriculation examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
She studied Psychology for her BAPCH (Honours)) degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Delhi.
