The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has dissolved the state unit of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) and all district and block level Congress committees with immediate effect.
In a press release issued to the press, General Secretary of AICC KC Venugopal said, “Congress President has approved the proposal to dissolve the entire state unit of PCC, District and Block committees of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.”
Though state Congress leaders are silent about the move but a source said, “Many members of different committees of the Congress have become inactive and HPCC President Pratibha Singh had requested the AICC to remove inactive members at different levels and include new active members by reorganizing the Committees of Congress in Himachal Pradesh.”
HPCC President Pratibha Singh has been raising this issue at different platforms.
