The Communist Party of India (CPM) leaders have blamed the Modi government’s policies for miseries of poor people in India.
Addressing a public meeting on the first day of three day state conference of CPM at Shimla on Thursday , CPM Polit Bureau members Subhashnai Ali and A Vijay Raghvan said , “ During the past ten years when PM Modi came to power at the Centre, , two types of India have been created in the country; while rich people are prospering the poor are suffering.”
They said, “The gap between rich and poor has deepened, the rich are getting concessions and the poor are being exploited in the country as the Modi government has allegedly been working to help its capitalist friends and rights of working people are being snatched .”
Substantiating their accusation against the Central government the CPM leaders said, “ The subsidies given to farmers and the general public are being abolished, 44 labour laws made in the last hundred years in favour of the working class have been amended with four anti-worker labour codes, unemployment has increased manifold and miseries of poor people have increased .”
The CPM leader also blamed the RSS and the BJP for “Allegedly making efforts to change the basic structure of the Indian constitution and disturb centuries old communal harmony in several parts of India including Himachal Pradesh.”
The state CPM leaders Rakesh Singha, Kushal Bhardwaj, Vijendra Mehra, Dr Kashmir Singh Thakur and Central committee members Dr Onkar Shad and Dr Vikram Singh also addressed the public meeting.
