Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved Rs. 21.05 crore for the improvement, strengthening and restoration of Chail Chowk-Gohar-Pandoh and Mandi-Kamand-Kataula-Bajaura roads.
He said the NHAI has approved Rs. 9.16 crore for Chail Chowk-Gohar-Pandoh and Rs. 11.89 crore for Mandi-Kamand-Kataula-Bajaura road.
Vikramaditya Singh said, during his previous visit to Delhi, he had apprised Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari about the need of strengthening and maintenance of these highways and urged him to provide funds.
He said due to the frequent blockage of the Chail Chowk-Pandoh road the Mandi-Bajaura via Kataula road is used as an alternative route by local people and tourists.
