The Himachal Pradesh government has announced a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance (DA) for the state government employees and pensioners with effect from October 1, 2024.
As per a notification issued by the Finance Department on Wednesday the DA for state government employees has been increased from 38 percent to 42 percent and will be paid in cash with the salary of October -24 .
Employees will also get arrears accruing from January 1, 2023, with a separate order detailing the method of disbursement and will also be applicable for officers of All India Services and employees covered under UGC scales.
For employees under the New Pension Scheme (NPS), the regulation of DA will be handled by separate orders.
The dearness allowance for central government employees has also been increased by the Central government from 50 percent to 53 percent of the basic pay as announced on Wednesday.
