Public Works Development (PWD) Minister Vikrmaditya Singh assured all possible help to flash flood victims at Terang ) Rajban of Mandi district on Wednesday .
The minister, accompanied by senior Congress leader Kaul Singh Thakur, visited the families of victims, where nine villagers had lost lives and one person is still missing after flash floods on August 31.
After hearing details of the heart breaking incident, the minister said, “Every affected family will be given all possible help; an aid of Rs 4 lakh to each family has already been given by the state government and efforts would be made to provide them safe place for building house after taking up the matter with the Chief Minister as the village has become unsafe for habitation after the flash flood.”
He said, “A detailed project report for Thaltukhod – Punjod road with an estimated cost Rs 10 crore has been prepared and sent to NABARD and strategically important Bhubhu Jot tunnel would also be constructed.”
