The controversial statement given by Mandi Member of Parliament Kangna Ranaut against the Farmer’s agitation, has invited ire of the Farmers bodies and political parties.
Kangna Ranuat in an interview with a Hindi Daily has compared the situation during the farmer’s agitation for withdrawal of Three Farms Laws with the prevailing turmoil in Bangladesh today after ouster of former President Sheikh Hasina.
Ranaut has accused the agitating farmers for allegedly “ Raping women and killing people during the agitation and said if strong government would not have been in power in India at that time the situation at that time would have been worse than Bangladesh .”
The Mandi MP has also accused the agitating farmers for allegedly “creating lawlessness under the garb of agitation and for being quite perturbed after withdrawal of Three Farms Laws by the Union Government as their plan to continue the agitation failed.”
The Samyuka Kisaan Manch (KSM) leaders have strongly condemned the wild allegations leveled by Kangna Ranaut and demanded registration of FIR against her for allegedly creating discord in the county.
SKM leader Darshan Singh Pal has also demanded apology from BJP as she can’t make such statement without the backing of BJP.
Meanwhile BJP leadership has distanced itself from the statement of Mandi MP Kangna Ranaut.
Aam Admi Party and Congress leaders have also demanded registration of FIR against her.
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has accused Ranaut for tarnishing the image of people of Punjab who have been in the forefront of sacrificing lives for the country.
The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) has strongly condemned the irresponsible and malicious statements made by Kangana Ranaut.
AIKS has demanded immediate withdraw of her statement by Kangna Ranaut and apologize to the farmers for her malicious and provocative remarks.
“The Prime Minister Narendra Modi should also apologize to the farmers and the Supreme Court should take suo moto cognizance of Ranaut’s statements for deliberately misleading and creating discord against farmers and take strong deterrent action against her,” said AIKS President Ashok Dhawale and General Secretary Vijoo Krishnan.
