The Indian Metrological Center Chandigarh has issued a warning of flash floods till July 28 in three districts of Himachal Pradesh.
The IMD office said, “The flash floods can occur in Shimla, Sirmaur and Kangra districts of Himachal Pradesh during the next twenty four hours; surface run-off or inundation may occur in some fully saturated soils and low-lying areas due to expected rainfall occurrence in Chamba district leading to flash floods which may continue till July 28.”
A yellow alert of heavy rainfall has also been issued for July 27 in the state.
