PWD Minister and Congress candidate for Mandi Parliamentary election, Vikrmaditya Singh has reaffirmed to work for achieving the issues raised by him as part of his vision for Mandi parliament constituency, during the election campaign.
Talking to media persons here on Monday, he said, “Accepting the voters’ mandate humbly, I would make every effort to work for my vision for the constituency, in the capacity of PWD Minister in the state government.”
He said, “The development works would be carried forward in the state under the leadership of CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu; during a meeting with the officials today ongoing projects being taken up by Public Works Department of nearly Rs 350 crore were reviewed and fixed a deadline of 18 months to complete all ongoing projects,” he added .
The minister said, “The construction of Bhubhu Jot Tunnel and Jalori Jot Tunnel would be taken up with Central government and issue of opening Mandi by-pass tunnel would be taken up, besides alternatives to develop Mandi as a smart city through Urban Development department, take up twenty four hours pressurized drinking water scheme for Mandi with the aid from the World Bank and channelization of Beas river and Suketi Khad, would also be taken up .”
He said, “We would soon review the causes of defeat in Mandi parliamentary constituency; however I am committed to work for development of the area through a holistic approach and would also seek the help of Union Minister JP Nadda and Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut for taking up various development projects with the Central government.”
