The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) center Shimla has issued a severe heat wave warning for several districts of Himachal Pradesh during the next 72 hours.
As per weather forecast issued for the state on Thursday, the center said, “Several districts i.e. Sirmaur, Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Una are likely to observe severe heat wave conditions with a warning of severe heat wave at one or two locations.”
The IMD center Shimla has issued an advisory for local people and tourists to take necessary precautions to stay indoors, cover heads while going out, drink a lot of water and increase liquid intake, besides taking other precautionary measures.
