Launching election campaign of Congress party for the ensuing parliament and by-elections in six Assembly seats of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday from Samurkalan in Bangana (Kutlehar) Assembly constituency of Una district, the CM addressing a public meeting accused, “The six Congress rebels took Rs 15 crore each for betraying the Congress and joining BJP; we have evidence to the fact including details regarding payments for travel in helicopters and stay in hotels as revealed in the police investigation.”
The CM said, “Since we had sealed all doors for corruption during our 14 month’s tenure, certain people were perturbed and having stomach ache but our government is committed not to allow plundering of states’ interests and people of the state would teach a lesson to such elements in the coming elections, who sold public interests for the allurement of money.”
The CM also lashed out at the leader of opposition Jai Ram Thakur, “The leader of BJP having just 25 MLAs in the HP Assembly is dreaming of forming the government with the help of money power but our government is stable and complete its full five years term.”
He also talked about several development schemes and measures taken by the state government for the welfare of people by fulfilling guarantees given during the last Assembly election.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri also addressed the gathering.
