HP Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh after meeting the rebel MLAs said, “Everything is possible in politics and all doors are open.”
The minister had met six rebel Congress MLAs disqualified from Himachal Pradesh Assembly under anti-defection law in Chandigarh on his way to Delhi.
While talking to media persons at Shimla on Wednesday, when asked about the possibility of the rebels returning to Congress , the minister said “everything is possible in politics and all doors are open.”
He had met the six Congress rebel MLAs in Chandigarh, who had cross voted for BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan leading to defeat of Congress candidate Abhisshek Manu Singhvi in Rajya Sabha election on February 27.
Singh recently met senior Congress leaders in New Delhi, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The Minister said , ” I was officially assigned the responsibility of meeting the rebels; I apprised the Congress High Command about their views and also conveyed the views of Congress High Command to the rebels.”
In another development on Wednesday the All India Congress Committee has removed rebel Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma from the post of secretary of AICC, while Sujanpur MLA Rajender Rana also resigned from the post of working president of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee.
