Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has appointed Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi as new Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University (SPU) Mandi.
As per a notification issued by Raj Bhavan on Thursday , Prof. LK Awasthi , presently Director of National Institute of Technology Srinagar (Uttrakhand) , has been appointed Vice Chancellor of SPU Mandi for a term of three years, from the date of his joining in SPU.
A computer science Professor , he has taught in NIT Hamirpur and also remained its acting Director, besides, Principal of JLN Engineering College Sunder Nagar and Govt Engineering Guma .
He said , “ I will have to resign first from my present assignment and will soon join SPU Mandi.”
