Himachal Pradesh government has removed Director General of Police (DGP) of HP Police Sanjay Kundu from his present assignment after directions from Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Acting on the directions issued by a double bench of the Court headed by Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao and Justice Jyotsna Riwal Dua on December 26; the department of personnel has issued orders to give him a new appointment as Principal Secretary of Ayush department.
The High Court had directed to remove the DGP and SP Kangra Shalini Agnihori to reassign them new duties where they couldn’t influence the investigation in complaint by a Palampur based businessman Nishant Kumar against the DGP.
