Six persons including five police personal lost thier lives in the road accident in Churah Assembly constituency of Chamba district on Friday morning when a Tata Sumo hit by a boulders plunged into Siul river near Tarwai on Bairagrh – Tissa road.
A Tata Sumo was carrying a police petroling party of eleven including driver of the vehicle when the accident occured at about 9.30 am on Friday. Five persons have also been injured in the accident , who have been admitted in Chamba Medical College.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have expressed grief over the accident and sent condolences to the families of the victims.
Deputy Commissioner Chamba Apoorve Devgan said, ” Six persons have died in the accident and five others injured. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered in the incident.”
