Fifteen passengers travelling in a HRTC bus were injured on Saturday morning when the portion of Dehar – Kangu road caved in.
The incident occurred at about 6.30 am near Soar village on Dehar – Kangu road . A Sunder Nagar depot bus had left from Sunder Nagar bus stand for Shimla via Dehar when it slipped down along with a portion of the road as the road caved in.
Driver and conductor of the bus have also been injured. All the injured have been taken to Sunder Nagar Hospital.

It is a very unfortunate incident. The government should monitor all the routes to determine whether they are suitable for heavy vehicles like buses or not. Buses have been allowed to ply, knowing full well that the roads are not fit after the recent monsoon fury. It is an avoidable loss.
