In a gruesome murder, a young man belonging to Bhandal panchayat in Salooni area of Chamba district was cut to several pieces by his killers on June 9.
A police source said, “Manohar (25) was hacked to death in a remote area and his killer cut him into several pieces to hide these into a rivulet under stones; the incident was reported by the locals after foul smell started emitting in the area.”
“The boy was stated to be having a relationship with a girl of different community, which perhaps could be the motive of Manohar’s murder”, the police said .
Police have arrested Shabir (18), a resident of Khadrota in the case; an SIT under DSP has also been constituted by SP Chamba to investigate the murder case
