Dr Mrityunjay Doddamani of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has been awarded the Prof. Satish Dhawan Young Engineers Award in the Engineering Science category.
The award was given to Dr Mrityunjay by Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore recently in recognition for young scientist making significant contributions in the engineering domain, in the presence of Bharat Ratna Prof. CN Rao and other dignitaries.
The award given by Karnataka State Council of Science and Technology carries a cash award of Rs one lakh and a state medal given to young engineers below fifty years.
Dr. Mrityunjay Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical and Material Engineering of IIT Mandi said, “I feel humbled and grateful to receive the award in the presence of Bharat Ratna Prof. C N R Rao and this award is a great recognition of our contribution in Engineering sciences.”
Dr. Doddamani is presently working in additive manufacturing of advanced composites and cyber security.
