Former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has accused the state government for the alleged step motherly treatment with Mandi district.
Talking to media persons at Mandi on Monday he said, “The state government and certain Congress leaders are trying to defame Sardar Patel University by leveling unfounded allegations of irregularities in recruitment of faculty members and university staff without registering a FIR or conducting any inquiry.”

He said, “A situation is being created to shut down the university and we would fight this injustice with Mandi district tooth and nail.”
The former CM said, “The three months rule of the Congress government in the state has been dismal as it has failed to fulfill its promise of giving Rs 1500 per month as pension to women, the opposition raised so many issues of public interest in the budget session of the Assembly.”
He also accused the state government of shifting the Airport project from Balh to some other place.
