Himachal Pradesh state election commission has decided to hold an election for 34 wards of Shimla Municipal Corporation (MC) on May 2nd.
As per the notification issued by the commission on Monday the nomination papers would be accepted on April 13, 17 and 18 between 11 am to 3 pm, the scrutiny of nomination papers would be undertaken on April 19 and candidates can withdraw their candidature till April 21st.
The polling would be held on May 2nd from 8 am to 4 pm and counting of votes would be undertaken on May 4. The entire election process would be completed by May 6.
