Himachal Pradesh government has received first installment of Rs 225 crore from the Central government for the development of infrastructure in bulk Drug Park.
The amount has been given by the department of pharmaceutical, Union Ministry of Chemical and Fertilize as grant in aid. The bulk drug park was sanctioned by the Modi government during the tenure of previous Jai Ram government in the state.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said ,” The bulk drug park, being built in Una district, is a project of national importance and would help in protecting eco- system of the state, besides having an investment potential of nearly RsTen Thousand crore which would generate employment opportunities to roughly fifteen thousand youths .”
He said, “The state government would ensure timely execution of this mega project, a company named Himachal Pradesh Bulk Drug Park Infrastructure Limited has already been registered with the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs. and a project monitoring committee would ensure timely execution of the project ”
The CM said, “The government has already completed planning work for developing infrastructure like constructing roads and providing power, two transmission lines are being raised to provide round the clock supply of about 120 MW for the operations of API at Tahliwal in Una district, besides creating financial and technical network.”
