Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi on Tuesday; it was a courtesy call after becoming the Chief Minister.
A government spokesman said, “During the meeting the CM discussed several issues and apprised the Prime Minister about progress of different development projects being implemented in the state.”
The spokesman said, “The Chief Minister assured the PM the state government will effectively implement various schemes launched by the Central government in the state like Pradhanmantri Gati Shakti Yojna for developing infrastructure and Parvatmala Yojna for constructing ropeways in hilly regions as connectivity and infrastructure development are some of the prioritises of the state government, being vital for creating jobs.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on becoming the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and assured help to the state.
The Chief Minister also presented a memento and a Himachali shawl to honour the Prime Minister.
