Himachal Pradesh Cabinet gave its nod to the state government to launch Mukhya Mantri Bal Suposhan Yojna.
The meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has approved the scheme with a budgetary provision of Rs 65 crore , run jointly by departments of Women and Child Welfare, Health and Family Welfare, Elementary Educational and National Health Mission, to improve nutritional status of mother and child through multiple intensified interventions.
Through this scheme the health parameters of NFHS-5 would be improved substantially in a time bound manner in the state.
The Cabinet also decided to provide free domestic water supply in the rural areas from May 1, implement a decision to give fifty percent concessions in HRTC buses within the state to women passengers and give two free cylinders to beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Grihni Suvidha Yojna.
It approved giving government guarantee in favour of HRTC for raising a loan of Rs 160 crore to purchase 360 new buses and allow child adoption leave up to 12 weeks to female employees .
The Cabinet decided to enhance the honorarium of part time workers functioning in patwar circles from Rs. 4100 to Rs. 5000 per month., that of Numbardars to Rs 3200, honorarium of cooks and helpers working under midday meals scheme to Rs 900 per month, part time water carries by Rs 900 per month and teachers appointed under SMC by Rs 1000 per month from April 1st.
The Cabinet gave its approval to fill up 66 posts of Superintendent Grade -1 in education department, 177 posts of operation theater assistants , 100 posts of veterinary pharmacists, 130 different posts under NHM and 14 posts of mediation cells of Consumer Commission at state and district level.
The Cabinet gave its approval to provide two sets of school uniforms to pre-primary (nursery) students, and grant extension of One Time Settlement Scheme for loans taken from HP SC& ST Corporation.
It gave its nod to create a patwar circle Dhwal and Tandi (Mandi district), Tyudi and Kyariyan in (Una district).
It also gave its nod for starting science classes in senior secondary school Tikkru and Malaal ( Chamba district), open primary school at Bekar in ( Mandi district) , start commerce classes in senior secondary school Kuh Manjwar ( Bilaspur district), medical classes in senior secondary school Sari Malog ( Kangra district ) and non –medical classes in senior secondary school Jahal ( Mandi district).
The Cabinet gave its approval for opening Government Degree College at Kupvi (Shimla district) and Chhatri in (Mandi district).
It also decided to increase the bed capacity in Regional Hospital Bilaspur from existing 270 to 300 beds, and upgrade veterinary dispensary Bansha (Kullu) to a hospital.
It gave its approval to open Jal Shakti department sub division at Kangoo and Chuhar, Chowki ( Sunder Nagar ), sub division at Kunihar ( Solan district), Kuthera ( Bilaspur district ) , Balgar ( Shimla district) , Gattadhar ( Sirmaur district ) , Jaisinghpur and Banuri ( Kangra district)
