Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to fill up four thousand posts of teachers including 820 posts of drawing teachers and 870 posts of physical education teachers; out of these 2460 posts would be filled up in the Elementary Education Department and 1360 posts in Higher Education Department.
This decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Shimla on Tuesday, which also approved the draft negotiation package to be signed by the Urban Development Department with the World Bank in Association with the Department of Economic Affairs of Union government for generating Rs 1160 crores from the World Bank for Shimla Water Supply and Sewerage Services Delivery Programme for the Greater Shimla. The state government would be providing Rs 652. 68 crore for the Rs 1813 crore scheme.
After augmentation of this scheme 67 MLD water would be lifted from river Satluj for catering 24X7 drinking water needs of Shimla up to 2050 , besides extending sewerage lines .
The Cabinet gave its approval for opening an ITI at Ladaghat ( Bilaspur district) , to extend retirement and gratuity benefits to employees of Urban Local Bodies under New Pension Scheme, to open BDO office at Churag and open Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya at Bagsaid in Mandi district .
It also approved creation of four posts of steno typist for ADR centers Bilapsur, Hamirpur, Reckong Peo and Nahan and engage 24 non residential special training instructors against posts of JBT.
The Cabinet gave its approval to upgrade Government Middle School Darwin to high school and high school Lamu and Badgran in Chamba district to Government Senior Secondary Schools and fill up 16 posts in these schools, upgrade Primary Health Centre Baldhar in Karsog to 30 bedded CHC, besides upgrading CHC Rakkar to 24×7 emergency health institution.
