Himachal Pradesh Congress leaders have come down heavily on Mandi BJP MP Kangana Ranaut for her remarks against former Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
While several Congress leaders have termed Kangana Ranaut as ” semi –literate and mentally bankrupt” , Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh has threatened to sue her in the court in case she doesn’t seek a public apology from Mrs. Gandhi.
Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut while talking to media persons after attending a programme in a village near Manali had alleged , “ The hill state ( Himachal Pradesh ) has empty coffers as the Congress takes loans and then gives it to fill coffers of Sonia Gandhi (former President of Congress)”.
Ranaut had alleged, “ If we (Centre) give disaster funds, it goes to the CM Relief Fund but everyone knows that it goes to the Sonia relief fund from there; it really hurts me when I see the poor condition of the state, especially children.”
While several Congress leaders fumed over her allegation and termed her “having lack of education and mentally bankrupt , “PWD Minister Vikrmaditya Singh has asked Kangana Ranaut to tender unconditional apology to Mrs. Gandhi and threatened to sue her”.
Reacting to Kangna’s remark, Vikrmaditya Singh said, “She should come out with facts before making such wild allegations; if she can’t present facts then she should seek apology from Sonia Gandhi.”
The minister has also threatened to file a defamation case against Kangna Ranaut in case she doesn’t tender her apology.
This is not the first time Mandi MP Kangna Ranuat has made disparaging remarks and courted controversy. She was slapped by a CISF lady constable at Chandigarh Airport for her remarks against ladies participating in farmer’s agitation seeking repeal of three farm laws, a few months back.
The MP was also reportedly reprimanded by BJP President JP Nadda recently for her remarks against farmer’s agitation, before Haryana Assembly election.
BJP MP is also under the attack of Sikh religious and political leaders of Punjab for showing Sikh leaders in poor light in her controversial film” Emergency” facing legal hurdles before its release in Punjab .
