Indian Meteorological Center (IMD) Shimla has issued a yellow alert for many places of Himachal Pradesh forecasting a spell of snowfall in the higher altitudes and rainfall in middle and low altitude areas for 9, 10 and 11 November.
In its latest weather bulletin issued for the state at Shimla on Tuesday the Centre has predicted the western disturbances getting active from Wednesday onwards resulting in rain and snowfall in many areas of the state.
Issuing a yellow alert for the state it has forecasted isolated rain in as many ten districts of Himachal Pradesh and snowfall on higher reaches from 9 to 11 November.
The Center has also issued instructions to farmers and orchardists of the state to prepare for different farm and orchard related activities in view of the rain and snowfall forecast.
