Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of development projects amounting to Rs 14.09 crore in Chhatri area during his tour in Seraj Assembly Constituency on Tuesday.
Addressing a public meeting at Chaplandi the CM announced to open a degree college at Chhatri, up gradation of middle schools Vohal Sainj Bagdathach to high schools, primary school Gattu Galu and Rumani to middle schools.
Thakur announced to open health sub-centre in Gram Panchayat Jarehar and Bethwan in Gram Panchayat Gattu, upgrade health sub-centre Thunachi to PHC, opening of veterinary dispensary at Kakadadhar, construction of Forest Inspection hut in Maihridhar and inspection hut at Chaplandi.
He said that the reconstruction of the Seri Bagga water supply scheme would ensure adequate drinking water supply to the people of Nehra, Kandhal, Bhajhouni and Chavg villages, while Bethwan Flow Irrigation Scheme Chhatri and Chhtari – Kohidhar schemes would benefit people.
He said that the demands of the people of the area have been fulfilled with the inauguration of Rana Bagh to Bihani Seri road and PHC building at Chhatri. He also flagged off a HRTC bus on the road.
Thakur laid the foundation stone of senior secondary school Chaplandidhar and an additional building in Chhatri rest house .
On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave sanction letters to 200 beneficiaries for construction of houses under Swarna Jayanti Ashray Yojana.
