Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to lift the night curfew imposed due to Covid-19 pandemic in the state.
The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has also decided to allow social, religious, cultural and political gatherings including marriage functions with fifty percent capacity for indoor and outdoor functions.
It also gave its approval to an amendment in Himachal Pradesh Minor Minerals (concession) and Minerals (Prevention of Illegal Mining Transportation and Storage) Rules 2015 to ensure optimum use of minor minerals for construction of roads, retaining walls, soling and breast walls.
The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur felt the need of amending these rules to make easy availability of stones, gravel and sand for construction, especially in rural areas.
For all government works the mining officer would grant permission for use of minerals extracted during the construction exclusively for captive use in for the same work up to 10000 metric tonnes per month at a time but not exceeding 20000 metric tonnes by paying the royalty .
