An Israeli tourist, Samual Vengrinovich (30), missing from Triund track for a week near Dharamshala, has been traced by a rescue team on Sunday from the snowline area of Dhauladhar mountains.

Samuel was on a tracking expedition and had gone missing a week ago but has now been recovered by the rescue team.

SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri said, “He had reportedly slipped down from a slope in the adverse weather conditions and suffered an injury, a joint team of the police, SDRF and the DDMA brought down the Israeli citizen. After the rescue, he was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital at Tanda for medical examination.”

A special rescue team was also sent on a helicopter from the Kangra airport on Sunday afternoon to look for him but it could not find him.
