All passengers (except one found alive), two pilots and crew members, have lost their lives in an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane operating from Ahmedabad to London, crash near Ahmedabad on Thursday, as 241 people are feared dead in the crash.
“One person has miraculously survived, the police found one survivor in seat 11A, One survivor has been found in the hospital and is under treatment, ” said a police officer.
Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was killed in the plane crash as Union Minister C.R. Patil confirmed the death of the former CM.
“Cannot say anything about the number of deaths yet. the death toll may increase as the flight crashed in a residential area,” Ahmadabad Police Commissioner GS Malik was quoted by a news agency”.
