Her inclusion in the elite mountaineering expedition came after rigorous written tests, interviews and strenuous physical trials, where she emerged as the youngest among a team comprising 10 NCC cadets,. The expedition was flagged off by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from New Delhi on April 3.
Kriitikas’ determination and physical strength was so strong which even Sherpas accompanying the team appreciated and a display of rare courage and commitment earned her a widespread admiration.
Her achievement is more commendable as she came from a humble background and a remote, where climbing mountains was unheard. But her achievement has made them proud of her achievement. Her parents and relatives are ecstatic about Kritika’s rare feat.
