
The incessant rain and snow in many parts of Himachal Pradesh during the past twenty-four hours have affected normal life in many parts of the state.
There are reports of flash floods in the Chhota Bengal area of Kangra damaging houses and fields in the area. According to a report, several villages are without power supply with poles uprooted, and roads to Multhan and Luhardi and Barot are blocked.
A flash flood threat caused panic in Tosh village in the Manikaran Valley in Kullu district. An artificial lake has been formed in Jeer Nallah.

The flow of water in the Beas River has risen in Kullu district, resulting in the opening of the spillway gates of Pandoh Dam.
While all higher reaches of the state and many areas of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Pangi Bharmour areas of Chamba district, Dhauladhar range in Kangra district, Manali, Solang Nala, and other places in Kullu district, and many places in Shimla and Sirmaur district had reportedly experienced heavy to very heavy snowfall, heavy to very heavy rain was reported in all other districts of the state.
A total of 583 roads, including National Highway No. 5, have been blocked, 2223 electricity transmission lines have been disrupted, and 279 water supply schemes have been damaged, as per the State Disaster Management Authority report.
National Highway 5 (Hindustan Tibet Road) was closed near Narkanda in Shimla district due to slippery conditions following a heavy spell of snow.
Heavy snowfall is continuing in the Dodra-Kwar in the Shimla district and in many areas of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Pangi, and Bharmour, while incessant downpour is continuing in other parts.
The Kullu, Lahaul–Spiti, and Chamba district administrations have announced plans to keep the school closed on Saturday .
