The Indian Meteorological Centre, Shimla, has forecast light rain and snowfall in parts of Himachal Pradesh over the next two days on January 22 and 23,

In its bulletin released on Tuesday, the department stated that light to moderate rain or snowfall is expected at some locations in the state on these dates. Following this, the weather is likely to remain dry and clear for the rest of the week due to western disturbances.

The maximum temperature is not expected to change significantly over the next two days but is likely to rise by 4–5°C after January 23. The minimum temperature will remain stable for the next 24 hours but may drop by 2–3°C in some areas over the next 2–3 days. Cold day conditions are expected to prevail in certain areas from January 23 to 25. Dense fog is likely in isolated parts of the hilly and plain regions.

Tourist destinations such as Naldehra, Manali, and Shimla may experience light rainfall or snowfall with one or two moderate spells. Kufri, Narkanda, Solang Valley, and Sissu are also expected to receive light snowfall with occasional moderate spells. Light snowfall and a few moderate spells are likely in mid and high hill regions on January 22–23. Some isolated places in the high hills may experience light snowfall tomorrow. Light rainfall is also expected in parts of the low hills and plains over the next two days.

Travelers and residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and exercise caution in areas affected by fog or snowfall.
