An Army soldier from Mandi district was killed while fighting terrorists in Punchh district of Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday.
An Army source said, “Indresh Sharma (40) was killed in encounter with the terrorists near LOC in Punchh district on Wednesday, the soldier hailed from Sarkidhar village in Balh area of Mandi district. “
He was deployed in Punchh sector with 6 Jack Rifles and had come to his village a few days back on leave and had returned back to his unit on December 9. He has left behind his aging parents, his wife and two daughters, including a 9 months old daughter.
