Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have expressed grief over martyrdom of Havaldar Suresh Kumar in Leh – Ladakh.

Havildar Suresh Kumar of 18 Dogra regiment, a resident of Baggi Tungal Village under Mandi sadar tehsil of Mandi district, was posted in high altitude Army post in Ladakh and lost his life serving in the line of duty.

In a condolence message the Governor extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and said, “Havaldar Suresh Kumar’s sacrifice would forever remain in the nation’s memory and serve as an inspiration for all. He would be remembered as a courageous and devoted soldier.”

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, “The entire state stands in solidarity with the bereaved family members in the time of grief and the selfless service of this brave son to the nation would be remembered with pride and gratitude,” he added.

The Governor and the CM leaders prayed for the peace of the departed soul and to give strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
