The retired employees of Local Urban Department of Himachal Pradesh have urged the state government to give benefits of the 6th pay commission to the retired employees working in different local urban bodies of the state and release DA installment.
A delegation of retired employees of Municipal Corporation Mandi and Municipal Committee Sunder Nagar, represented by their leaders Vijay Kumar from MC Mandi and Rajender Kumar from MC Sunder Nagar met Principal Secretary Urban Development Devesh Kumar at Shimla on Thursday and urged him to take up this issue with the state government .
In a press release the retired employees of the Urban Local Bodies said , “ Though Himachal Pradesh government has been giving all benefits as per recommendation of 6th pay commission to all employees of the Urban Development Department but retired employees have not been given these benefits in their pension.”
They said, “The retired employees are also not getting an increased DA allowance with the pension and hundreds of employees from the most deprived section i.e. safai workers and class IV employees have been deprived from the benefit.”
The delegation of the retired employees have urged the state government to give them monetary benefits as per 6th pay commission in their pension and also release DA installment at the earliest and provide them justice.
