The Balh police has arrested six persons for inturding into Lal Bahadur Sashtri Medical College Ner Chowk hostel on Saturday night and attacking the medical college students.
The incident occured on Saturday night when six outsiders intruded in the medical college hostel premisses and tried to enter the hostel.
A medical college student said, ” A gruop of six outsiders entered the hostel premises who came in two vehicles; when some students questioned them they started attacking the students including girl students, later other students and medical college authorities also reached and caught one of the attackers. who was handed over to police, while other managed to edcape.”
He said, ” The attackers also tried to run down a medical college student”.
The students have questioned the role of security staff as to how the attackers were allowed to reach the college hostel without being stopped by security personnel at the college gates .
Mandi SP Sakshi Verma said, ” The police swung into action and reached the spot, a case under sections 332(c), 126(2), 115(2), 352, 351(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered at Balh police station and the six accused have been arrested who have been identified as Aman (29), Lokesh Thakur (24), Amit Sharma (34), Naveen Thakur (27), Ankush Sharma (27) and Nitesh Kumar (36). All the accused are residents of Rajgarh tehsil of Balh area in Mandi,” the SP added.
Principal of the medical college Dr DK Verma said, “Security has been beefed up in the medical college premises, additional CCTV cameras would be installed, a control room will be setup to recieve any distress call from students and every measure would be taken to provide security in the medical college premises. ”

Incident is quite surprising,in any case the intruders must be taught a lesson so as to avoid recurrence of such incidents in future.
